Patricia Trippley Demiranda is a fighter, committed to finding creative ways to prevent violence involving young people in Chester city. Following the tragic loss of her son, Will, Pat embarked on a journey to channel her grief into positive community action. In 2007, she and Will’s friends launched the William Trippley Youth Development Foundation to promote mentoring, advising and a now much-celebrated youth soccer program. The Trippley Foundation values inclusion and its programs reach across diverse communities to benefit young people. Pat, her associates and local non-profits partner with the Philadelphia Union MLS to sponsor Chester City United, a soccer summer camp, and after-school programs. In 2014, Pat earned her Master’s in Organizational and Strategic Leadership from Neumann University. She has since created Camp Encouragement, a program providing counseling to children who have lost loved ones, and Jovonne’s Healing Center.
